Anyone good with iPods and computers??

If you have an iPod and you have a bunch of songs on it, and you just got a new computer, can you transfer all the songs from your iPod on to your computer?

Answers:

In order to copy music off an ipod, you need a third party application, as iTunes does not allow you to pull music off the ipod, only erase or upload music to the ipod. There are A LOT of programs that will do this.

A few that I%26#39;ve found for windows, though I haven%26#39;t necessarily tried them all:

iGadget ( http://www.ipodsoft.com/site/pmwiki.php?... )

YamiPod ( http://www.yamipod.com/main/modules/home... )

iPod2PC ( http://www.casicakes.com/ )

TuneJack ( http://www.softpedia.com/get/ipod-tools/... )

iRepo ( http://www.purpleghost.com/index.php?q=i... )

iPod-%26gt;Folder ( http://www.longfingers.com/ipodfolder/.. )

If you use a mac, or just don%26#39;t like these programs for whatever reason, you can always do a search for "ipod" on versiontracker.com No I don%26#39;t think you can. You%26#39;ll need to grab a blank CD and burn your playlists/music from your iTunes folder on the first computer and put it all on the new one. Go ahead and burn any seperate music NOT in the iTunes folder to that CD or DVD as well. There is a program calls idump that do this put idump on yahoo search bar and download it. No, the ipod only works in one direction when using itunes. it sux. Otherwise you could give your songs to someone else at any point in time.
