Windows media player 11 album art keeps changing?

For example, I have two songs...let%26#39;s say song 1 and song 2 both don%26#39;t have an album art yet.

I go to wikipedia.com copied an album art and paste it into song 1. Then the copied album art I pasted to song 1 appeared also to song 2 which I don;t want and is my problem...Can anyone please help me? I want to have separate customized album arts.

WMP 11 constantly goes online to update media information.

You can, however, turn this feature off.

Do this:

Open WMP 11

Right under the %26#39;library%26#39; button at the top, click the arrow

Select %26#39;more options%26#39;

A window will pop up and near the bottom, you should see %26#39;Automatic media information updates for files%26#39;

Uncheck the option that reads "retrieve additional information from the internet"

That should do it

Put the images how you want them and WMP 11 shouldn%26#39;t change it back.

Whenever I try to watch a movie of any sort (Non browser or With browser) It gives me that the windows media player dynamic library could not find the proper plug-in, I%26#39;ve tried everything, reinstall, all the stuff. Is there a problem with my computer?

Windows media player and iTunes?

I have purchased a song and it came in Windows Media Player format. All of my other music is in iTunes. I want to know how I can change the format of the WMP song so that I can burn it onto the same disc as songs saved in iTunes. Otherwise, it seems sort of pointless to have it.

Just burn the song to CD in Windows Media Player. Then import the CD into iTunes. That simple.

Just close the dialogue box that comes up when you put a blank CD in. Then open Windows Media Player. Then drag that song into Windows Media Player. Then burn the CD in Windows Media Player. Yeah you can. Actually it doesn%26#39;t really matter because itunes can support many differnent fileing formats. Usually if it comes across one that it doesn%26#39;t accept then it will just convert it to one that does. Not a big deal.

Windows Media Player for XP wont burn CDs?

When I try to burn "wma" files to a CD whether it is one song or enough to fill a disk it says will not fit. I can%26#39;t figure out how to change the settings in order to rip the files. Never had problems ripping the same files using Player 9. Any suggestions...

Try using iTunes. Download it from apple.com.

When in iTunes just get the songs you want in the library. Then go to file and hit Create New Playlist. Then title it. Then just drag the songs to the new playlist, from the library, and then insert the blank Cd. Hit burn Cd. It should be at the top right. use music match jukebox I...believe the file is not the right one for WMP or it might not right for the CD!

Windows Media Player help?

I have WMP version 11.0 and when I try to play DVD%26#39;s on it, there%26#39;s no volume and of course the volume on the player is on as well as the volume on my laptop but still nothing... Please help!

The newer version of WMP seems to have sound issues. I would recommend using the DVD software that came with your laptop. WMP is finicky when it comes to DVD playback. I recommend PowerDVD.

Windows Media Player not burning CDs. Anyone else had this problem?

I downloaded the newest version for Windows 98%26#39; a little while ago. About three days ago i finally decided to go out and get some blanks and try and burn a CD. Problem is it will not read the CD. I%26#39;ve been burning CD%26#39;s via WMP for a few years. Never had this happen. The computer picks it up, but WMP does not.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this frequent?

As long as you are connected to the net it should work. Media Player analysis the track data and compares it to a database oneline. If it finds a match it will download the information to your computer. If there is no match then you will need to input the data manually =/

Hey im getting a new computer and I was wondering whether an updated Windows Media Player, or and updated iTunes would be better to host my music files.

If you don%26#39;t have an iPod there is no good reason to download itunes. Its a resource hog that installs other programs. Stick with WMP11. iTunes is a better music player and easier to burn Cds from.

Windows Media Player Question?

On some computers it allows you rip CDs into MP3s and others it does not. Is there any thing I can? I just go to Tools, Options, Rip Music. Sometimes it will let you rip into MP3 and others it doesn%26#39;t have the option. Please Help.

Sounds like you are using Windows Media Player v. 10. (I recommend the upgrade to v. 11).

The usual way of doing this is, as you seemingly know, going to %26#39;Rip Music%26#39; --%26gt; set the %26#39;Format%26#39; to %26#39;MP3%26#39; (The dropdown menu gives the option of selecting between various formats, among those MP3), and raise the quality bar to 192 Kbps --%26gt; start ripping.

You are not too specific on where the problem occurs:

- Does the %26#39;Rip Music%26#39; menu not allow you to change format setting? IE. are you given the option of ripping into Wav or MWA but not MP3

- Does the problem occur on same computer using various CD%26#39;s or are you ripping on different machines?

- Are you certain that you always have a music CD inserted into CD tray (do not believe Media Player will let you rip data CD%26#39;s)

But anyway setting the correct format in the menu should let you convert your CD%26#39;s into MP3 at anytime, otherwise it might be a bug which needs a lot more troubleshooting.

i listen to the comedy station at work everyday thru my windows media player.today for the first time i tried to listen at home and realized mine doesnt have it or at least i cant find it.im running version 11..i checked for updates and it says i have the most current one...Does anyone know which version has it or why i cant find mine? if not ill find out at work tommorow but id like to know now.the version i have at work has the radio option on the right side

When it says view files,etc, you will see an option to open folder, choose that one, hopefully you will see the music files from your mp3. Copy all of them to your Music Folder in My Document.

Open your Windows media player, Select the %26#39;Library%26#39; tab

On the bottom left corner, you will see %26#39;Add to Library%26#39; click on it and choose the option %26#39;Add folder%26#39;

You will see the Folder %26#39;My music%26#39; click on it and you are done Most computers can read the music right off your player and play it in Windows, almost like it%26#39;s using a CD.

So, chances are you never moved it to Media Player in the first place. You can always use Explorer to go to the folders on your player, "copy" them (right click on mouse), and then "paste" them (right click again) wherever you want them. I keep my most current pile of songs right in a folder I created right on my desktop, so I can change it out whenever I want. But some people really love those playlists -- Just keep in mind that the playlist is often "virtual" as described above.

0xC00D2772 error when transferring music to an mp3 player?

Ok, so I have Yahoo! unlimited to go AND Rhapsody. They were working great until the other day, when I started getting an error message that would pop up in yahoo music that would say "unknown error (0xC00D2772)". I have email yahoo about it twice, and have gotten no response other than a list of troubleshooting tips that I have already went through a dozen time already. no, theres nothing that you need to buy for the ipod, because everything basically comes with it. Included in the box there is a USB cable that is used to connect your ipod to your computer to charge it and upload music. Theres also a CD to install the software, and theres headphones. Thats pretty much it, so you dont need to buy anything.

The only time you would have to pay for anything, is if you want extra things, like one of those colored cover for your ipod and little things like that, but otherwise..everything is free. no u don%26#39;t need to buy anything else, you get all the basic necessary accessories when you buy it. 80 gigs are good for the best memory storage out there for your entire music library.

30 gigs plays the same role.

Nanos are good for small portions of you music library and is good for athletes who want to train and listen to music at the same time.

the shuffle is basically 200 songs (or so) on-the-go. to take anywhere. and is the cheapest of the ipod family. Yes, one of the best. especially if it%26#39;s black. black works same as the white one, but looks MUCH nicer.

keep in ind, that after formatting though, it%26#39;s actually closer to like 74 GB, probably. Well, depends which iPod you%26#39;re using.the mini, original, and shuffle, and video are bad. The best is the nano, so if you get the nano, yes. Oh, and by the way, how do you do the r thing?!?!?!?!? Yeah, its an ipod.80 gigs is a lot of memory though, to much for me at least. Mmm... thats going to be tough. If you really want to get good price ebay will be best option, new ones haver bids starting at like 150 so you might be able to get for like 200 or so. My cousin bought one from ebay, brand new sealed box for around 200. Another thing you can do is check your local stores for weekend discounts. It%26#39;s not possible to have separate iTunes unless you have separate Windows Accounts. Currently I have 2 ipods in my computer, both in one account. I created a play lists in iTunes to separate both ipods. To create a playlist press ctrl+n. It will be seperate. Because a different name comes up with her hardware. You know how you can name yours, like..."Reese%26#39;s i-pod".. Hers will come up seperately and not effect anything of yours. And same will happen when you hook yours up.. Here%26#39;s a solution for the problem. Make a deal with her that she can have her own play list of music in your iTunes library. When she wants to download a song, she can download it but then she has to copy it to her play list. If you don%26#39;t want your music on her iPod then what you can do is have her uncheck all of your music and set it so that it only syncs the music that is checked. To have separate itunes you will need a whole butt load of disk space. If disk space is not a problem it should work. You guys will have to set your preferecnces correctly. why would your parents not want to have seperate windows users? it doesnt do anything to the computer...heck...i hav like 10 users on my computer and it runs great...well whatever.

I noticed the same thing with generic headphones and MP3 players, so I upgraded to Etymotic Research ER-6i isolators. They go for about $90 on ebay. Another pair are the ER-4P, but they are more expensive.

If you cannot find many reviews it%26#39;s because it is an unknown brand. For $200 you can get a Creative Zen Vision M, it does ALL the Mustek, except does NOT have a memory slot. Plus the Zen Vision M, plays DivX/XviD/WMV video files, not mp4 only like the Mustek. The screen size on the Zen is 2.5" vs 2.4" and the Mustek is a brick compared to the Zen Vision M%26#39;s size. You can choose from 5 colors, record FM, use the organizer with the Zen Vision M also.

The Mustek may be a little cheaper, but consider all the pros the creative Zen has.

Your average song length is probably more than that... I%26#39;m sorry but the box is not accurate. It%26#39;s an estimate on how many songs can fit only the iPod. It only has do with memory. It all depends on how big the songs are on the iPod. The number of songs is only a vague measure based on the length of the average pop song and the default sampling rate. The actual capacity is 2 gigabytes. The size of each song file depends on its length and the sampling rate. The greater its length and the higher the sampling rate, the larger the file. One very long song sampled at the highest sampling rate could, for instance, be 2 gigabytes all by itself. It is probobly becasue you have photos/adresses/or other things that you can do on you ipod that dont involve music. I have the same iPod. :) Maybe you have some other things on there like pictures or something. %26%26 also, if you want more songs, then delete old ones that you never listen to or don%26#39;t have any likeness for. And each song uses up more space the longer it is. Maybe you have longer songs, The 500 capacity songs that apple brags are short songs 2min or under or sumtin like that get a 30gb video well worth it.

note nanos die after about a year or two theyre battery goes wack then everything else follows that might be the problem in your case. it depends on how long the song is, the longer the song the more memorey it takes up.

2nd gen iPod Nano issues?

I bought a 4GB 2nd gen iPod Nano from Best Buy about three months ago. No it%26#39;s not broken, and it was working real fine when I got it. But slowly over time, it started getting all weird.

1) Some of the songs are only half as loud as others. I didn%26#39;t choose the volume settings like this on iTunes, either. It just sounds like that on my iPod.

2) A lot of the graphics [CD covers] for the songs have been switched around. For example, Kelly Clarkson%26#39;s "Since U Been Gone" might have Depeche Mode%26#39;s Violator artwork for it, and Depeche Mode%26#39;s Enjoy the Silence might have Static-X%26#39;s Start A War artwork for it, etc etc...and once again I didn%26#39;t choose it to be like this on iTunes either, it%26#39;s just like that on my iPod.

Why is it like this? It%26#39;s not going to get worse over time and freeze, is it? And if there is a way to fix those two problems, could you tell me? Thanks a lot.

2nd generation ipod shuffle USB dock replacement??

The USB dock to my 2nd generation ipod shuffle broke, and I%26#39;m looking for a replacement. Preferably an offical apple replacement. I bought a new charger/sync connector from a third party company, but it crashed my computer... I%26#39;ve looked ALL OVER the apple webstore and stuff and I can%26#39;t find anything about getting a replacement and I hate dealing with their support forum it doesn%26#39;t make any sense to me. If its serious take it back to apple to be fixed under warrenty. Its only 5 mths old. sometimes ipods %26#39;Freeze%26#39; you need to reboot it like you would a computer. I am restoring my iPod Nano to its facory settings. I have had the status screen on my computer for over 2 hours saying "restoring my iPod" . Does it usually take this long to restore an iPod? I only had 18 songs on it and nothing else.

The apple website says it is critical I do not disconnect the iPod during this process. But I%26#39;m seriously considering ending the cycle and trying something else.

8 GB nano i-pod or 30 GB video?

Alrighty. I%26#39;m having a bit of a dilemma. I can%26#39;t decide whether or not I want to buy an 8 GB nano or a 30 GB video. As far as music goes, I have a pretty eclectic taste for a 16-yr old with over 1,600 songs in my library (currently, but I try to pick up a new album or two every week or so) so I need space for music. And it would be nice to have video so I could watch RENT whenever I wanted to.

But I do like how much smaller the nano is; so much easier to carry around.

30 GB has the "WOW" factor when you show someone your music videos. The 8 GB will last longer since it has a flash drive and not a hard drive. The hard drive is usually the first thing to go. I have the 30 and love it, but it all depends on your taste I suppose. get the nano, the video ipod%26#39;s screen is so small, and will hardly wow anyone I have the 8 GB nano and wished I have bought the video. The size is nice, but when you think about it the video isn%26#39;t that much bigger, plus you can play games and watch movies. I%26#39;d go with the video, trust me I wouldn%26#39;t pick an iPod because of its size, my reasoning being that all iPods are pretty easy to carry around. If you are adding an album every week or even every other week, your library will get pretty big pretty quickly. I would recommend the video for you, and then you also get to watch movies. That is if you can afford it screw ipod. get a Zune. if you really wanna iPod then i would say the 30gb video

The biggest thing you need to answer is - how are you going to use it? Are you going to use it for working out? If yes, then get the 8 gig nano. It uses flash memory which will not be effected by movement and some impact, compared to the video, which uses a disc-based system similar to a computer hard drive. The jarring from running or other physical activity can make it skip and potentially damage it. If you%26#39;re not much into working out, then get the 30 gig video. It%26#39;s a little bigger and heavier, but the extra memory and the video playing capability is worth it. I say get a Creative Zen vision M, but that%26#39;s just me. Look it up, it may peak your interest. But to your question, I say the 30 GB. You get an additional 22 GB and you have support for video. 8 gig you can only put music and its smallers

I suggest going off-brand for cheaper (and most of the time better) products that almost always support WMA. (WMA takes up half the storage space of MP3 at the same quality) Like:

For $40 you can get the Creative Zen Stone (1GB), which is similar to the iPod Shuffle, but the Stone has better sound quality. The Stone also comes in six colors.

For $180 you can get the Cowon D2 (4GB). It has a MUCH larger screen than the nano and an SD card slot (for us much storage as you can buy SD cards). It can show videos and has a touch-screen interface. It has loads of features, great battery life, and great sound quality.

Also for $180 is the Toshiba Gigabeat S. It has a bigger screen than an iPod Video, is compatible with more formats and has more features.

8-Track Tapes Question?

I am getting into 8-track collecting. I have a Panasonic 8-track player. When I play some of my tape I here two programs at the same time. I want to make good MP3s for my iPod. Any way to fix this? If it is a player problem I will need exact instructions on what to look for. I have never taken a player apart before.

The problem is that the player heads are not aligning correctly. There may be several ways to fix this. Placing a matchbook or several layers of folded paper under the exposed end of the cassette and forcing it in a bit might fix this. You may have to try several positions and depths before you find the right place to put it.

Adjusting the players heads may be an option if you feel competent to take the player apart, or you might find a repairman that could do this.

I once had a player with a perpetually serious alignment problem that I completely cured by turning the player upside down.

When I download albums off the internet (legally), I usually download the edited version. I don%26#39;t know why, but I always feel uncomfortable hearing bad words in music. I think it is something my parents drilled into me.

I never click sync I always just plug my IPod in and then drag and drop. Did you try that yet? Are you using the ITunes program to put music on your IPod? I just bought 5 songs from ituns (I used a gift card). It shows up into my library, so I clicked one the music and dragged to my ipod like I am suppose to do. When I was done I hit the disconcert button that is next to the ipod so it would be okay to pull the wire thing out of my ipod. But the 5 song are not on my ipod.did I do something wrong?

Yes. You are supposed to create a playlist for the songs then either drag them to that playlist or right click and choose copy file to whatever the playlist name is, you can choose the playlist if you have more than one. Then in itunes you click the button "file" on the top of the screen. Then you will see sync ipod or you can connect the usb port to the p.c. and wait for it to update by itself. Did the screen say it was done loading? If so, then just plug your iPod back in and leave it for a few. If it didn%26#39;t, we just realized your mistake and you can go ahead and plug your iPod back in.

I%26#39;m not sure I%26#39;m clear on what you%26#39;re trying to do, but I%26#39;ll do my best here.

When you click the "sync only checked items" what this does is goes through your itunes library, and any song that you don%26#39;t have the checked (if you look, you%26#39;ll note there%26#39;s a checkbox to the left of every song) will not be uploaded to the ipod. This is basically assuming you have some form of automatic syncing set up, meaning you don%26#39;t have to manually add music to your ipod.

If you want to have more control over what goes on your ipod, you can do this two ways, basically. 1) You can set the ipod to "manually manage music and videos, which means nothing goes on the ipod that you don%26#39;t specifically drag to it. 2)Set it up to only sync specific playlists. (under the music tab, you would change it from "sync all songs and playlists" to "selected playlists" and check the playlists you want it to sync.) This way you can add music to these playlists and the next time you plug the ipod in, it will load what%26#39;s included in these playlists.

If you wanted to go in and manually remove music from the ipod or change it%26#39;s information or something, just within the ipod, there is an arrow to the left of your ipod icon in itunes. click that and it will open a list of the playlists. When the ipod is set to manage manually, you can delete or change songs within the ipod this way. read the manual or play around iwth it If you notice! when you click to sync, it shows what it will be send to your ipod, so just make sure that all the data om the item you click on is there, like pics, videos etc.you will o be able to choose individually, unless you do it manually 1 by 1... good luck

your clicking the eject button... try clicking on the ipod nano name itself... or go to apple.com and figure it out... The arrow next to the iPod is the eject button. If you want to delete all the songs off your iPod go to your iPod and go under music. Then just right click and uncheck the song. Then sync it. Or just hit delete song.

Another question about limewire?

I%26#39;m not used to using limewire, so I have a question, i just downloaded a couple songs onto my ipod from limewire. Now everytime I try and listen to it on my ipod it just freezes up. It won%26#39;t even turn off so I have to charge it once because it won%26#39;t turn off. Now i have it plugged into the computar and it won%26#39;t charge! I don%26#39;t know what to do. Leave your iPod alone for awhile. Most of the time it will unfreeze. If you can (or after it unfreezes), take the songs off. It may not be Limewire, but just the songs alone. If you%26#39;ve used other music downloading services and it worked okay, stick with them. You may want to try this agian with other songs, but I suggest not. My friend has an iPod and uses Limewire, and she%26#39;s okay. I think that one of the songs is a Bad Track, and it%26#39;s screwing your iPod up. I hope things go okay for you! um thats weird

and whej i say weird i mean thats never happened to me and almost every somg on my Ipod is from limewire

um the only thing i can think of is for u to delet all of the songz and download them again

and u should reset your ipod

sorry but a hyperlink isnt going to do you any good. i like your taste in music but the only free way to get music is with a p2p program, get limewire basic off of limewire.com. its very easy to use and pretty fast. I use to own video stores,I used car wax and put the wax on the c.d. and let set 5 minutes,rub it off with a soft clean towel in a circular motion and it will take most scatches out!If not some video stores have special machines,you pay $1.00 and they can coat it for you and it will be protected for life!My friend has one of these machines in his store,it works! I love all my favourite CDs and DVDs but I noticed if I didn%26#39;t use the CD or DVD for a long time, there are some spots that sticked on the back of the disc, any better ways to clean it away rather than use a tissue to remove it?

you should keep it in the case when not in use. Also a good cheap alternative to cd cleaners you can use toothpaste by applying it to the cd and using your finger to buff away the scratches it has. The fine abrasives that help you clean coffee stains also gently buff scratches. P.S you must use paste not gel. keep it in a CD case...that is the best solution..Also keep it under 40C..

Any way to export files from iTunes library into a Windows folder (My Music)?

When I rip a CD in iTunes I can only access the song files through iTunes. Is there any way to transfer the file into the My Music folder outside of iTunes so that I can play it on another media player on my PC, such as Video Lan?

yes

itunes stores the ripped music in a folder

right click on the song and select show in windows explorer

then you can just copy it wherever you want yeah do what he said

or

go to file; export library

then choose where you want your music files to go. it will take your entire current library and put it into that folder.
