Which iPod is better, 30GB or 80GB?

I am having difficulty deciding on which iPod to purchase. The 30GB holds 7,500 songs and the 80GB holds 20,000 songs. Which is better in your opinion? I%26#39;ve just recently been shopping now for one. I can see the cons against the 80GB, I mean who really has time to listen to 20,000 songs. Yet it%26#39;s slightly bulkier.

Any help would be great, thanks a lot! Just wanting your opinion.

Am I willing to spend $350 for an iPod, possibly if I get my moneys worth, which I probably will, I just don%26#39;t know which one to buy.

unless u have a lot more than 7,500 songs id go with the 30. i have one and i have like 5,500 songs and a bunch of music videos and tv shows and it works great. plus u save some money going with the 30 and thinness shouldnt be a problem saying that i have the moto razr and the 30 gig ipod is thinner than that. They are the same only one has a larger hard drive than the other. The general rule is to get the biggest hard drive that you can afford. If you plan on watching movies on it, I%26#39;d go 80gb. Before you poo-poo the idea, the picture is really amazing for a such a small screen. Movie files are large, so if you were wanting to put 5-10 movies on it to watch while on a trip or something you might be glad you had that extra space.

With regards to capacity, I always go back to a 1980ish quote from Bill Gates, "nobody will ever need more than 64K bytes of memory".

i have a fifth gen 60 gb video in black; my first one was a fourth gen 40 gb, which i sent back 4 or five times (they kept sending replacements, and the hard drives kept failing). the fifth gen has not given me problem one, and ive had it over a year

my wife has a 1st gen 4gb mini as well as a 2nd gen shuffle- both of these have performed flawlessly from the start No TKS, I have a radio that gets allot of things for free.free I said. Shuffle perfect for working out! what? there is no fuckin 80GB nano..hahaha

Which ipod should i choose? ipod nano or ipod video?

i want to get an iPod but then i don%26#39;t know which one to choose. i want to watch movies and tv shows on the ipod video but i also want to have a light and small iPod to carry.

I the nano is nice. But the video is much more versatile. Or do what I did...buy both! Not at the same time of course. I bought the nano, and wanted more room to grow...so I got the video. video ipod...

and you can watch tv shows, movies, music videos and everything...and you could put your photos on it too...(dont know what you want to use that for)

so why not get it? nano: lighter, cheaper I have a nano while my friend has a video. I don%26#39;t really get why people are so excited about the nano being so small. The biggest models are only a few ounces, it never seemed like much of a burden. Just saying.

People are saying the video is slow...I guess the other types go instant or something, beacause I can get a song to play in less than a second. ipod video I would say video after getting a nano it was good at first but then after a while my nano%26#39;s memory was like 3/4 used up and then i start thinking about wanting to watch videos and stuff absolutely a nano..i have a nano and a video and the video is mega slow...and the batteries go by quick on the other hand the nano is cheaper and lighter and it works good even with a lot of songs!..

Which is a better Compressor?

To all the electric guitar gurus.I%26#39;m looking to buy a compressor for under $100. I%26#39;m looking at the MXR Dynacomp, The DOD Milkbox, and possibly the Danelectro Surf n%26#39; Turf. Which of those is best quality, and are there anymore good, inexpensive compression pedals?

Danelectro makes some decent stuff, although the plastic bodies they put the electronics in is much to be desired. You have to be carefull with them. DOD is much better about that, much more durable. Haven%26#39;t had any experience with MXR. So at this point I am going to say DOD.

Which is a better iPod?

It would depend on what you wanted to do with it and how much music you have or plan to have. iPod shuffles are the cheapest at $79, but can only hold about 240 songs. Also, there is no display and no way to go to a specific song. It does as the name implies, it shuffles the music.

The smallest Nano, 2GB, is $149 and holds about 500 songs. The largest is 8 GB, at $249 and holds 2000 songs. Nanos hold pictures, you can play games on them and they%26#39;re lighter and easier to use for exercise. However, they do not support video and don%26#39;t hold nearly as much music as a Video can hold. Also, if the decision came down to an 8 GB Nano, Video would probably be a better choice, as it costs the same but has more space.

The iPod Video, to me, is the best choice. Although I don%26#39;t have it full (I have a 30GB), I like having space to expand my music collection. ipod video.. i have one and its great... its the only one you can watch movies on and the screen is so much bigger... although it is a little expensive i love and would recommend it over the nano and suffle.. my husband has a nano I would just get an iPod video...I have a nano and I spend more time making room for my new songs than actually getting them. If I had to pick an iPod, I%26#39;d pick a Nano, but if I didn%26#39;t, I%26#39;d pick a Meizu. M6 or M3. iPod video! NO DOUBT~ I have one and it is the best one i could of gotten! I have used many Mp3 players and I must say that Creative is very reliable. I am most fascinated by its superb specifications. I must also highlight the superb battery life which is one the important factors when I am considering to buy a player. Without a reliable power source, you can have many functions but what is the point if your battery is always as flat as a pan cake. here is some info about the Player http://www.creative.com/products/pmp/dem... I dont like neither of those models I am with the ipod but I see that you are not interested on the ipod so go with the Zen. Neither. Sort your prioritys if you are set on getting one of these. Find which one has a better earphones, and sound Quality (a good set of earphones can cost $99), and find which one%26#39;s battery lasts longest. If you are really indecisive I can offer a cheaper alternative. Buy a used Pocket PC from ebay. I bought One with Windows M. 5.0, and Windows Media Player. It holds a few gigabytes of songs (depending on the size on SD card /Microdrive) (microcenter has the cheapest cards, a Gig for 9 bucks, while Wal-Mart charges 50 bucks for a Gig), can play WMV video, record voice, and edit microsoft office documents. For thirty bucks extra, you can get a DVD to WMV converter, and watch movies. It rocks. I personally prefer the iPaq 2110, that I bought for $100. Plus, all the extra features you get makes it worth getting this. Top that with a High Capacity 8hour battery, for 9 bucks, and you got yourself, one heck of a toy!

The size depends on the amount of compression more than the format type. You can make a WMA that is larger than an MP3 of the same song if you compress the WMA less than the MP3. And vice versa. mp3! :) WMA- it%26#39;s half the size of MP3.

So you can put 2 times the amount of WMA%26#39;s on an MP3 player than MP3%26#39;s.
