Why is my system showing my fake 1GB ipod as a 1MB Player,?

Where has the remaining space gone...? It Shows Total Size as 1.00 MB.

But still I could play those Mp3 songs and Videos that was stored lastly, but the only problem is- If i connect to my system, it asks to format it (It shows the capacity of the player as 1MB), and hence i could not Sync with my system.

What do i do now..?

Please Help me...

If it%26#39;s a fake one the memory may be hacked.

The Scam

Many of the advertised 2GB, 4GB and 8GB players are really 512MB and 1GB players disguised as 2GB, 4GB or 8GB players.

Instead of getting a real 2GB, 4GB or 8GB player, with a hacked player you will get a memory capacity of 1GB or less.

There is a file installed on the player called a Hack. The hack file tricks or spoofs Windows and the player into showing the advertised memory capacity and not the real capacity.

There are very few people who know about the scam and without checking their player, people have no idea their 2GB, 4GB or 8GB could be 1GB or less.

The Scam is limited to the players known as clones or Chipods. Clones and Chipod players are advertised as having music, video, FM radio, voice recorder and more.

They come in all colors, sizes and models.

The scam does not effect genuine Apple iPods.

. first of all, does the device use flash memory? (i%26#39;ll asume it does) the best thing to do would be to format the ipod. then once all the files on it are gone, check to see how much space it says is left. it may just take a software update to the devices firmware, or the proper software to connect the device to your computer to fix the problem- (as in the music store it works with or whatever tool you use to transfer files to it. ex- itunes to ipod.

good luck.
