A friend gave me an album that he had burned onto a DVD-r, which could still be played on a normal cd player (i.e. it was not a data disc).
I%26#39;ve now run out of CD-rs and have lots of blank DVDs that I would like to use instead - however, it%26#39;s not really seeming possible whenever I try to burn to them.
What do I need to do?

Are you sure the album your friend gave you was a dvd not an cd.
If it was a dvd you should still be able to copy it onto a blank dvd, unless he has copy protected it. You can just burn the Audio Stream on a Music DVD. I record using the program Alcohol 120%. You have to use a DVD burner and your burning software has to give you the option. A lot of the free software that comes with most burners sees the disk as a DVD and assumes you want to burn a DVD. Waste of money if you ask me. Since DVD%26#39;s are like 10 times the price.
