Brother took I-tunes PC to another state, how to rebuild itunes?

My brother %26 I shared a pc, he set me up as an additional device in his itunes so the pc would know when I plugged in

But anyway, he took the pc to another state. Now I have my own pc, I downloaded itunes. I have all my songs on my ipod itself.

How do I update my ipod (download %26 add new songs) without wiping out the current music (because I tunes is empty)? Also how do I delete songs off my ipod that I do not want?

Answers:

Probably the easiest thing to do would be to download an app to copy the music off of your ipod and into your itunes library. (Don%26#39;t agree to automatically sync your ipod to the itunes library when you plug it in, or iTunes will delete what is currently on the ipod.) There are a lot of programs available to do this. I use igadget, but there are plenty of other programs available. You should be able to find several by doing a search for ipod on versiontracker.com.

Once the music is on your computer, you can either set up the ipod to automatically sync all of your music from itunes, or set it to sync manually and just select the specific music you want to put on the ipod. You can change these settings by selecting the ipod in itunes, which should bring up its preferences. There is a checkbox for syncing manually, and there is also an option to select certain playlists to sync. "www.versiontracker.com"

search for "ipod to itunes"

download that app

copy the songs that you want to keep from your ipod to your itunes

when you sync the other songs that were left on your ipod will be deleted
