Are iPod earbuds (or any earbuds) harmful to the ears?

Answers:

they are only if you blast the music that runs through them. That and they break faster that way. I went through a few good pairs of earbuds before I learned my lesson with that. yes espeacial if you turn them up to loud. keep your music at a quieter level and you should be okay No. It is not the earbuds that are harmful to your ears -- it is the volume of the sound coming out of the earbuds!

Keeping music or any sound at a high volume can cause hearing loss. If they are comfortable then they are doing no physical damage to the cartalage part of the ear. If they arent comfy, then you need to buy some new ones, or your probibly gonna bruise your ear.

I assume you dont mean the eardrum, and you mean the outer part where the earbud actually sits. not if they are at a resonable volume they are not much different then any other type of ear phone it all depends on volume
