Before, when I tried to play a burned CD in my CD player, it would play perfectly fine. About 1 week later, that same CD won%26#39;t play in the same CD player. The CD player can%26#39;t seem to detect the CD. I tried playing the CD on my computer, and that works. I also tried burning the music onto a different, blank CD, and the same thing happens. All of my other burned CD%26#39;s don%26#39;t work either. What should I do to fix this problem?
By the way, I think the music files are .wmp files. Yes, I selected the option for "CD players" when burning. And regular, non-burned CD%26#39;s work just fine.
Thank you.

The laser eye is getting weak. If it%26#39;s a cheap player... toss it out. if it%26#39;s a pricey player, there is a strength adjusting dashpot on the eye assembly. you can try to adjust this (only a tiny bit)
and make sure that the cd%26#39;s you are burning, are NOT faster than 16x burn speed. Are all these cd%26#39;s you%26#39;re burning on the same type/brand of cd-r?
I%26#39;ve had the same thing happen and all it was was cheap cd%26#39;s. Member since: January 13, 2007
