Are you buying from iTunes? Default setting is one-click purchase.

To change, click Edit %26gt; Preferences %26gt; Store %26gt; Buy using a shopping cart %26gt; OK.

I changed mine a long time ago, partly to consolitate purchases, and partly to use the shopping cart like a wish list. I add things when I%26#39;m thinking about them, so I don%26#39;t forget them later. But I often don%26#39;t have money right then for the purchase, so when I have money, I open the shopping cart, and either buy everything at once, or select the ones I want and leave the others for another time, if I%26#39;ve been too wishful.
