Can a 30GB iPod play movies and DVDs.?

If yes, can I just download my existing DVDs, and how do I do that because when I put a DVD into my mac it doesn%26#39;t come up in iTunes. If I can%26#39;t use DVDs where else can I get them? Thanks!

Answers:

It can but you can%26#39;t download just any movie because of copyright restrictions It can but to put the DVDs into the iTunes library your computer must have a DVD ripper in it. If it is a Video iPod, then yes it can. It%26#39;s kind of a challenge to do it though. You will have to find software that will convert the DVD to a format that you can load to your iPod, such as Mpeg. I%26#39;d seach yahoo and you%26#39;ll find many software titles that will be able to help you out. apple wants you to spend money, so they dont allow it

there are however programs that allow you to coppy dvd%26#39;s onto your computer.

Problem is the dvd is in the rong format.

to fix this problem, download a program that turns the vob files into quicktime files.

i get the best ones on www.versiontracker.com

Hope this helps.

:-) iPod can only support mpeg4 video. You will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you to convert dvds and video into mp4 or h264 format, add them into itunes library, then sync to ipod, see http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/dvd... this detailed and unbiased comparison chart and reviews of the top 5 selling dvd to ipod video converters for help ,get mac dvd to ipod suite version from http://www.dvd-to-ipod-converter.com/dvd... , works like a charming for me. Get a free iPod Video from this site, just by signing up and completing a few simple online tasks. It really works!
