Can anyone explain me??

what is the difference between cd%26#39;s and dvd%26#39;s i want to know about both the things can anyone explain me clearly

Answers:

DVD%26#39;s hold digital video, and CD%26#39;s hold music or other information. Although it is possible to save music on a DVD now, so this one is a tough one to answer! DVD%26#39;s are digital and CD%26#39;s are analog. This site explain it prety well.

http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/que... cd%26#39;s play music and dvd%26#39;s play movies

both are on discs tho they hold different kind of files a CD can only hold audio.

a DVD holds video and audio. cd%26#39;s capacity is 700MB

but dvd%26#39;s capacity is around 4.6GB...

you can play cd for only 80 minutes...(ie half of the movie only)

but in one dvd u can play 3 full movies CD is a short form for Computer Disc.

DVD stands for Digitised Video Disc. It will look like CD but it will have some Video already recorded on it; that can be replayed using Digitised Video Disc Player; or using even computer if the computer is capable of it. Most new ones are and the old ones can be modified. CD plays music only

DVD plays vids yes we can play cd in DVD but can%26#39;t play DVD in CD

Ha Ha Ha..........

Both cd and dvd are information storage devices.. CD stands for compact disc and DVD stands for digital versatile disc.. the technology used to store data is different..

a CD can hold only 700 megabytes but a DVD can hold 4700 megabytes of data(4.6 GigaBytes).. thud DVDs are becoming more popular than CDs..

another type of DVD called the dual layer DVD can hold 8.5GB of data..the quality of storage is better in DVD than in CD. you can%26#39;t play a DVD on your computer until you have a DVD player installed and you can%26#39;t play every computer CD on DVD player
